About the role
Afara drives coding agents on engineers’ machines to analyse code and compare it with tickets. You’ll make that analysis better, faster and cheaper, and you’ll build the AI core of the products that come next.
What you’ll do
- Design agent workflows, tool use and retrieval for our products
- Build evaluation suites and use them to choose between approaches
- Tune cost and latency across Claude Code, Codex CLI and Gemini CLI
- Prototype new product ideas with the founders
What we’re looking for
- You’ve shipped at least one LLM-backed feature to real users
- Solid software engineering: tests, types, code review
- A sceptical streak. You measure before you believe
Nice to have
- Deep experience with coding agents
- A background in program analysis, search or recommendation systems
